Based in Toronto, Canada, Ophelia was founded by me Mary Maksoud. Having a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Sciences in Computer Science I went about to also become a Master Practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming and Master hypnotherapist. It's how I could bridge both my backgrounds and become more attuned to the social science of how people best learn.

I started my entrepreneurship work in 2012 at the age of 22. With 9 years of experience in working closely with educational and corporate institutions; students, staff and individuals, I focus on helping institutions develop educational strategies, train professionals in education, provide communication and interpersonal skills, strategies and workshops, and lead curriculum development projects. My experience in education and training ranges from early childhood education, to schools, universities, adults and even seniors.

As a master practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming with a background in computer science, I offer a wide variety of services for businesses ranging from team alignment workshops, strategy setting, as well as C-Suite coaching and breakthrough sessions. With experience consulting on projects with companies such as Schlumberger, whatever the obstacle is, the solution is tailor made.

I believe in balance, so in my free time I sing Opera as a professional hobby with over 12 years of experience and many prestigious stage performances, play the cello, read, watch documentaries, volunteer, take care of my cats and seek enriching conversations with a wide array of people.
I feel the importance of giving back to the community, so I currently produce, content create and host a podcast, called Magique, which provided me with an amazing growth opportunity in terms of technicality, editing, sound engineering, content creation and graphics!
